• it was such a busy weekend!

  friday, i met christine after work so that we could drive down to the city to meet kyu and will for their company holiday party.  we rushed to put on our party attire and drove through the friday night rush hour.  ugh...traffic.  the party was at Blue Water Grill, a very sleek and contemporary seafood and steak restaurant.  [pictures to come]

  saturday:  kyu had planned a romantic day downtown to celebrate our 6 month anniversary.  so he booked us a room at the Almalfi Hotel for friday night.  this was the plan: do some christmas shopping on michigan ave, lunch at the Signature Room, and ice skate at millenium park.  unfortunately, i foiled our plans.  my friends had given us a gift certificate to the Signature Room.  i forgot the giftcard at our hotel, and we weren't about to taxi back to the hotel to get it.  *sigh*  sorry, kyu!  maybe we'll take christine's advice and go another day during sunset.    we were so exhausted after shopping, we didn't have the energy to go ice skating.  so we ended up driving back to the suburbs. 

  somehow our weekends are always the same.  even if we plan something new to do (like this weekend), we end up just shopping, eating and watching tv.  sad..  haha.

  sunday:  after mass, grace & peter (+ joshua) took us to Winberries for brunch.  oh my goodness....the food was d to the e to the l-i-c-i-o-u-s!  (hehe...i'm a nerd.)  they had a wide assortment of breakfast food (and some lunch items).  from the usual omelets and belgian waffles to the lox and fondue.  i was full for the next 6-7 hours!  thanks, greter!

  i can totally attest to the "wii elbow"!  i was sore for days after playing the boxing game.  hahaha.
