• burr...i can't believe it's actually...chiLLy!  high of 70 today. 

  
  

  a weekend at the race track..
  saturday, i went to the arlington race track w/ kyu, jenny, jennine, alan, isaac, & tina.  what a gorgeous day to spend outside...as long as the sun didn't touch you.  that sun was hot!  it was my first time at a horse race and my first time at arlington.  i was pretty impressed w/ the track.  tina & i both thought it was nice enough to have a wedding on the grass!  hehe.  not really.  i'm not much of a gambler, but i did win $0.60!    impressive, eh?  isaac was the big winner that day.  he won about $40!  whoo hoo...  afterwards, some of us went to costco to pick up dinner.  cecilia, cathy, bob & sara finally joined us.  and we had quite the BBQ feast and a lot of food leftover.  i  costco now.  they had absolutely the sweetest strawberries ever!  oh and the smoked salmon on crackers with a dollop of dill was the best too.  just remember not to make 2 whole trays of it and expect to finish it all.  too much salmon can be a bit overwhelming.  yikes. 

  
  

  sunday, was another day at the race track.  yup, i've never been to the race track before but i go 2 days in a row.  this time i went w/ new life/small group folk.    you girls did a great job making lunch.  the pasta salad and egg salad were a hit!  mmm...  we had sooo much food, but amazingly we finished every ounce of it.  it was another lovely weather day and the sun was beating down again.  ay...  why is the sun so hot??  i got a little toasted on the shoulders.
