people
in the neighborhood are still setting off fireworks as i'm
typing. sheesh, people. when are you going to
stop? we went out to see Transformers
(which was surprisingly good) and came back to find jobie all
frightened. we put her in the cage tonight since she bit our rug
the other day. the second we let her out, she was freaking
out. she ran upstairs and hid under our hanging clothes in the
closet. why are you so cute, jobie?

got a plate stuck in a glass punch bowl. any ideas on how to get
it out?? yikes... i tried soaping it up, but that didn't
help. i don't want to have to break the plate. haha.

try hot water and then cold. i think it loosens it up?
maybe use a toothpick or fork to lift up the edge?
was it wet? the moisture would create an air-tight seal. lifting the plate straight out would be impossible; it would generate a vaccum inside the bowl. wait until it dries before you do anything.
my dog does the same thing. i'm in pilsen, so when the crazy fireworks started going right in the street, she ran under my computer desk chair and just lay there.
thanks, jeff. that worked! the plate just fell out on its own when all the water drained out.
