  • go away rain!
why does it always rain when i have to go to class?  or why is
rain forecasted when i go to class?  having to lug around an extra
umbrella (esp for no reason) is a pain in the butt.  i already
have to bring all my art supplies (huge pads of paper, sketchbook...)
and another bag for my lunch, bottle of water, and the other stuff in
my purse.  i have to carry it around for the whole entire day!  it gets so HEAVY.

    * * DREAMING * *
hehe...jobie's wagging her tail in her sleep.  *thump thump thump*

    congrats to Ervin & Caroline!

  • H A P P Y  4th of  J U L Y!
    people
in the neighborhood are still setting off fireworks as i'm
typing.  sheesh, people.  when are you going to
stop?  we went out to see Transformers
(which was surprisingly good) and came back to find jobie all
frightened.  we put her in the cage tonight since she bit our rug
the other day.  the second we let her out, she was freaking
out.  she ran upstairs and hid under our hanging clothes in the
closet.  why are you so cute, jobie?

    S T U C K
    i
got a plate stuck in a glass punch bowl.  any ideas on how to get
it out??  yikes...  i tried soaping it up, but that didn't
help.  i don't want to have to break the plate.  haha.

  • camping  at
      K E T T L E  M O R A I N E, WI

a group of us went camping in WI over the weekend.  we had great food,
absolutely perfect weather, and good company.    thanks, jimmylimmy for
cooking all the food.  it was all delicious.  esp. the pork chops on the first night!
it was jobie's 1st camping trip.  i was a little worried how she would be, but
she was an angel!  she was very well-behaved and didn't bark like crazy.
she was even great on the pontoon boat.  oh, and we found out jobie CAN swim.
haha.  kyu dropped her in the lake and she doggie-paddled as was expected.

  • For our 1st anniversary, Kyu & I went to see "The 25th Annual
Putman County Spelling Bee" musical.  It was absolutely
hilarious!  Then we went to Moto, this fancy restaurant in Fulton
Market.  It was a unique, interactive dining experience.  The
food wasn't necessarily great, but the service was superb and the
    experience was definitely different.

  • do you guys have any suggestions?  i'm trying to find a restaurant in the city that has good food and a nice atmosphere?  our 1 year anniversary is next weekend and we don't have the slightest idea where to wine & dine!    i'm not a fan of those pretentious restaurants where the portions are tiny and i feel way out of place.

  • any cicada sightings in your area??

thankfully, i haven't seen any.  whoo hoo.  i hope they're
not going to be crawling out of the ground later this week.  i was
seriously on the verge of having a heart attack
monday and tuesday when i left the house to walk jobie and when i got
off the train after class.  i was expecting to be attacked by the
    stupid bugs.  no joke.
i read the Trib and saw that people have
seen them in northbrook (yikes), deerfield (yikes), glen ellyn,
elmhurst, and other places farther away.

i'm going to a wedding up in libertyville this friday.  the reception is at Indepence Grove...aka a forest preserve.
freak...there are lots of TREES there for the CICADAS to be latching on
to.  let me know if anybody in libertyville has seen any
cicadas.  i might just have to rent one of those beekeeper's
    protective suit things.

  • hehe...this is christine & will's new puppy.  say "hi" to winston!

and here's Theresa's new pup, Bomi.

everybody's getting new puppies!  we had a dog fest at our house on saturday.
we had Penny (sam's awesomely behaved dog), little Winston, Bomi,
and of course, my baby Jobie.  hehe.  Penny is so cute.  she protected
Jobie from the little man, Winston, who was play-nipping her.  Penny
would go between the 2 of the little ones and just let out a deep growl
and Winston would back off.  that was awesome!  who knew dogs could
    be like that.  so cute.

"it's peanut butter jelly time, it's peanut butter jelly time, it's peanut butter jelly time!"
joshua's so cute when he smiles and laughs!
